In this module you will learn about gender, gender concepts, gender stereotypes, women's rights and women's social activism
Learning Outcomes:
The participants in the blended course will get an insight in engendered older adult education;
They will get familiar with the main concepts related to gender issues;
They will learn about gender stereotypes about men and women and how they are approached in education.
The participants will improve their communication abilities;
They will be able to recognize gender stereotypes and oppose them.
The participants will use their knowledge and skills in their everyday life;
They will use their disciplinary knowledge;
They will combine the acquired disciplinary knowledge with experiential knowledge regarding the gender issues.

Getting aware of the problem of gender equality – identifying the issues to be dealt with in older adult education;
Overcoming the deprivation of older women of their true otherness.

In this session, the learners identify gender specific stereotypes and gender specific ageism and ways to mitigate them.

In this session, the participants will learn strategies of how to make older female learners aware of their position in society and their rights in the past and present.
